Since entering the security
profession in 1984, Chris Parkerson has provided corporate executive protection for
Chairmen, CEO’s and other top executives from over 40 corporations including
Panasonic, SONY, Qualcom, Honeywell, Gateway, Alcoa, U.S. Surgical Corp., Mary Kay, Inc.,
Taiyo Yuden and Salk Institute. Chris Parkerson has also assisted in the security planning
for over 150 special events including stockholders meetings, stock analyst
meetings, sales force seminars, business site grand openings, exhibition booths,
and corporate seasonal celebrations.
Chris Parkerson is a
graduate of the U.S. Border Patrol Academy (GLYNCO), Executive Security
International (Aspen, Co.) The Executive Protection Institute (Berryville, VA),
Oatman and Associate’s executive protection training (Townson, MD), Texas A&M’s
executive protection course, and is a Tony Scotty Training Network instructor
teaching courses in protection driving, high risk driving, counter-surveillance
and fleet management. In 1999 and 2000, Chris Parkerson taught Corporate Executive
Protection at U.C.S.D. Extension. In 2002, Chris Parkerson taught
"Confronting
Terrorism" at Grossmont Community College. Since 1993, Chris Parkerson has given lectures
on executive protection at TREXPO (east and west), ESI Alumni Reunions, various
ASIS Chapter meetings in Southern California, and other professional venues.
A long-standing member of
the American Society for Industrial Security, Chris has served as the
vice-chairman, treasurer, speaker chair and new member chair for the San Diego Chapter. Chris is also an active member of both
the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and the High Tech Criminal
Investigator’s Association.
